FROM SITE WITH LOVE: VALENTINE'S PACKAGE

I wrote this a while back... my friends may recall it. Its no Thursday but a throw-back may not hurt. A bit of editing here and there. Enjoy!

It is that day of the year...a day they set apart to express love. But by now my dear you already know that daila ni valentine kwangu...daily expressing my love to you. I mean love is such a great thing to be just celebrated once a year.

However let me bow down to societal pressure and express it today in a special fashion,a vivid n lucid manner that shall remain etched ,engraved n embossed in both your memory and heart.

I would have bought flowers but I thought that would be cliche.Secondly choosing whether plastic or live roses proved to b challenging. You see if I bought plastic, though long lasting that wouldn't reflect the authentic nature of our love. I mean our love is not plastic,ts genuine. If I settle for live roses they'll soon wilt away, something I'd hate to happen to our love.Furthermore choosing the color of the flowers would be tricky. Our love is too colorful to b expressed in red.
I would take you out for a fancy dinner. Though we'd enjoy the scrumptious cuisine...the fact is the experience would be short-lived. I'm sure you wouldn't want our love to be so.
I had thought of buying you that fancy dress you've always been eyeing. But lets face it,you'll  only wear it for a short while, may soon be not that trendy and perhaps you may grow gravitationally enhanced and it will no longer fit you. Eventually it 'll b relegated to your closet just like the ones I have bought u before.
So I thought of doing it differently this time round .I hope you find it as thoughtful. Pardon me though as it borrows heavily from my building world. So here goes:
After conducting feasibility studies n preliminary site surveys(trial pits included),I have settled on L/R ID:UR HEART as the 'land' for the proposed site for our relationship development. I'd first like to furnish you with the requisite drawings-plans and elevations-of this development. This are orthographic and perspective projections of my emotions. If you wish for any modifications to the design, consult with God. He's the chief architect and lead consultant, our relationship is made in heaven.

I would also like to present the following materials as a symbol of my commitment:

1.ROCK-This represents a firm foundation.Though there be times when our relationship is on the rocks,we'll find solace having our love founded on the Rock of Ages.
2.CEMENT-my dear it has been a long time coming and I would like us to cement our relationship.I took the liberty to order for 'BLUE TRIANGLE'... I remember your favourite color is blue...
3.BALLAST&SAND-mixed together with the cement,I'd like  to form a CONCRETE basis for our love.
4.NATURAL STONE- mawe ya 'ndarugu',"rongai" na hata "njiru"...this represents my commitment to BUILD a future wit u.
5. MABATI YA DUMU ZAS-long lasting against rust, rather in our case, lust and to shelter us in rains.
6.and to crown it all,u guessed right,CROWN PAINT,I'd love to colour your world. They say if u like it crown it...need I say mo...

It is said there's no romance without finance.Don't worry,I have that under control.I'v liaised with HOUSING FINANCE to have a mortgage. In case the approval may take time,I'm in talks with Bank Of Africa. "TUJIJENGE"

To top it all,I give you myself,a construction manager.I'll expend my expertise to ensure our relationship is built of superior quality and stand the test of time!

All these goes to show my desire to ACCOMMODATE you in my life!

Darling, this is my valentine package for you.HAPPY VALENTINE!
